Hitchfoot Farm is a seasonal online retailer offering flower bulbs, bearded iris rhizomes, and related gardening products. Throughout these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Hitchfoot Farm. "You" refers to the customer or website user.

Product Availability

All products are offered subject to availability.

Because we sell seasonal and agricultural products, inventory may be limited. We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or cancel orders if inventory becomes unavailable.

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will contact you regarding replacement, store credit, or refund options.

Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time, including after an order has been placed.

Shipping Policy

Preorders: Many of our products are sold as seasonal preorders. Expected shipping windows are listed on individual product pages. We only ship to the Contiguous United States (Lower 48).

Shipping Schedule: Tulip bulbs generally ship in fall when planting conditions are appropriate. Iris rhizomes ship during late summer, early full during their recommended planting season. Weather, supplier delays, and agricultural conditions may affect shipping dates.

Address Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Hitchfoot Farm is not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect addresses provided at checkout.

Lost or Damaged Packages If your package arrives damaged or does not arrive, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

Shipping Delays: We are not responsible for delays caused by: Weather. Carrier disruptions, Natural disasters, Labor disputes, Supply chain interruptions, Government restrictions, Other events beyond our reasonable control.

Refund & Replacement Policy

Living Plant Product Policy: Bulbs and rhizomes are living products.

Because growing success depends on factors beyond our control—including weather, soil conditions, drainage, planting depth, pests, disease pressure, and gardener care—we cannot guarantee performance after planting.

We Will Replace or Refund If:

  • Product arrives visibly damaged.
  • An order contains incorrect items.
  • Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery and include photographs. We reserve the right to determine whether replacement, store credit, or refund is appropriate.

We Cannot Offer Refunds For:

  • Failure to bloom.
  • Damage from weather.
  • Animal damage.
  • Improper planting or storage.
  • Customer planting errors.
  • Conditions outside our control.

Plant Performance Disclaimer

Bulbs and rhizomes are living products and naturally vary in appearance, size, growth rate, bloom timing, color intensity, and performance.

Product photographs are intended to represent mature plants grown under favorable conditions. Actual results may differ due to factors including:

  • Climate
  • Weather
  • Soil conditions
  • Planting depth
  • Drainage
  • Sun exposure
  • Pests and wildlife
  • Disease pressure
  • Gardening practices

Natural variation is not considered a defect.
